Job Summary

We are seeking to hire a dedicated and skilled Baker to join our restaurant team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of fresh pastries, bread, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers. You will work on a full-day shift schedule, alternating between working one day and having the next day off.

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, pastries, and desserts according to recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Ensure timely preparation of baked items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
  • Monitor stock of baking ingredients and coordinate with the kitchen team for timely replenishment.
  • Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized baking area in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Experiment with new recipes or product improvements as directed by the Head Chef or Restaurant Manager.
  • Package and label baked goods for storage, takeaway, or display.
  • Monitor baking temperatures and times to ensure quality output.
  • Assist in inventory tracking and minimizing ingredient waste.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Baker in a restaurant, bakery, or hotel setting.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen safety practices.
  • Ability to work long hours and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in baking and presentation.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to work alternating full-day shifts (one day on, one day off).
  • A culinary certificate or diploma in baking/pastry (preferred but not mandatory).
