Housekeeper

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all assigned areas (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, hallways, etc.).
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs, removing mildew and grime.
• Wipe down kitchen counters, appliances, and surfaces to remove dirt, grease, and food spills.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and polish woodwork as needed.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash and recycling properly.
• Handle spills with appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
• Wash, dry, fold, and put away clothes, towels, and bed linens.
• Change bed linens and make beds to ensure a neat and comfortable appearance.
• Maintain an organized linen closet.
• Pick up and put away items that are out of place to maintain a tidy environment.
• Organize shelves, cupboards, and common areas.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or required repairs to the supervisor or client promptly.
• Monitor and report on stock levels of cleaning supplies and household consumables, requesting replenishments as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and hygiene standards while using cleaning products and equipment.
• Comply with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Performing deep cleans as required.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or similar role is often preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with common cleaning techniques, tools, and products.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
• Basic communication skills (verbal and sometimes written).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Stamina to perform repetitive tasks.
