Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage services, maintenance, and guest services.
- Ensure that all hotel services, facilities, and amenities are running efficiently, safely, and according to the company’s quality standards.
- Ensure that all guests have a positive and memorable experience by providing high-quality service and addressing guest needs, requests, and complaints promptly.
- Regularly monitor guest feedback and online reviews to improve the guest experience.
- Supervise, train, and manage hotel staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and standards.
- Oversee and manage the hotel’s budget, including revenue generation, operating expenses, and cost control to ensure profitability.
- Implement strategies to increase revenue, such as upselling, package deals, and promoting hotel services and events.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies that drive bookings and occupancy rates.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to identify business opportunities and make adjustments to pricing and marketing strategies.
- Ensure that the hotel complies with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and industry guidelines.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests, employees, and hotel property by maintaining security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Oversee inventory and supply management for hotel operations, including ensuring the availability of essential items like linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and reduce costs.
- Coordinate events, conferences, or banquets held at the hotel, ensuring seamless operations and meeting client expectations.
- Work with clients and event organizers to manage logistics, scheduling, and any special requests.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on hotel performance, occupancy, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain open communication with upper management, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle guest complaints, incidents, or emergencies promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction while minimizing disruption.
- Address any operational issues or challenges that may arise and find solutions to resolve them efficiently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience of 3+ years as a hotel manager or in a similar managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and increasing profitability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of hotel management software (PMS systems), booking platforms, and other hospitality tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage difficult situations with professionalism.
- Experience with hotel operations in a luxury or high-end hotel environment.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Certifications in hospitality management or related fields (e.g., CHA, CPM).
