Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and management of Hire Right NG, ensuring robust financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business growth. This full-time, on-site role based in Nigeria will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial risk assessment. The CFO will manage finance and accounting operations, ensure compliance with local regulations and tax requirements, and maintain strong internal controls. Daily responsibilities include reviewing financial performance, advising leadership on strategic investments, optimizing cost structures, and preparing reports for executive management and stakeholders. The CFO will also collaborate with other leaders to support long-term business planning, evaluate new opportunities, and drive financial best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
- Expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, strategic planning, and evaluating business performance and investments.
- Leadership experience in managing finance teams, developing processes, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in using financial systems, spreadsheets, and business intelligence or reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial topics clearly.
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally as CFO, Finance Director, or similar position.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (master’s degree or MBA is an advantage).
- Ability to work on-site in Nigeria, with strong knowledge of the local business and regulatory environment.
- High level of integrity, sound judgment, and a track record of driving financial discipline and business growth.
