Business Development Lead (Instant Delivery and Mobile e-commerce)
Job Summary
A once in a career opportunity to join a fast-growth instant delivery and mobile-commerce firm on its start-up journey in Lagos. Taking the lead of pre/post-launch in Lagos, building a business development team from scratch, tasked with the client, and partner driver acquisition - targeting both fleet and independent delivery partners, and users.

Job Description/Requirements
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify the high impact and result from yielding promotion tools and strategies to promote the App and platform to attract delivery partner drivers and users;
- Identify and facilitate meetings with high profile food and beverage, pharmacy chains, and supermarkets for new business and lead negotiations; and own relationship of positive outcomes of negotiations;
- Define and lead our Business Development strategy across different towns and suburbs of Lagos;
- Help recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a team of 2-3 business development professionals;
- Work with operations team to develop and oversee our partner driver on-boarding processes and procedure;
- Report on performance to senior management;
Requirements:
- Education - BSc/BA in business or related field; higher degree or professional training and qualification is an added advantage;
- Experience - 3+ years sales experience, 1+ year managing >3 direct reports, preferably within a high growth technology and logistics company;
- Skillset - Strong communication- verbal and written, analytical skills, customer and relationship management skills, well-organized with excellent leadership qualities;
- Character- A go-getter and self-starter attitude, problem-solving, and able to work under pressure, willing to be a pioneering lead, and ready to build from the bottom-up, able to work without supervision to achieve target;
- Knowledge required - Previous experience in the delivery and logistics industry is a strong plus;
