Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation Support:

• Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients for meals
• Wash, peel, chop, and organize vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
• Assist in portioning and plating meals as directed by the kitchen team

Kitchen Cleanliness & Hygiene:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking areas
• Wash dishes, cooking equipment, and kitchen surfaces regularly
• Ensure proper storage of food items and adherence to hygiene standards

Operational Support:

• Help with receiving, unpacking, and storing kitchen supplies
• Monitor kitchen stock and report shortages or damages to the supervisor
• Assist in maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards
• Support other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or kitchen supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE qualification
• At least 1–2 years’ experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Must be a resident of Edo State
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food hygiene, and safety
