Job summary

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Bakery Production Manager to oversee daily production activities. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in food production and be able to ensure smooth operations, consistent product quality, effective staff coordination, and strict compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all stages of production from preparation to oven work and final output.
  • Ensure daily production targets are met efficiently.
  • Maintain quality checks to ensure products meet the company’s standards.
  • Monitor mixing, proofing, baking time, and overall consistency.
  • Lead the production team and ensure effective communication during shifts.
  • Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.
  • Train team members on proper work procedures and safety practices.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Inform the procurement team when items need to be replenished.
  • Help reduce waste and support cost control.
  • Ensure all hygiene and food safety rules are followed at every stage.
  • Oversee equipment cleaning and proper usage.
  • Keep simple and accurate records for production, hygiene checks, and reports.
  • Suggest better methods to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Report and follow up on equipment faults or repairs needed.
  • Work closely with dispatch and sales teams for smooth workflow.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production management role within a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems quickly.
  • Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Preferably based in Sangotedo, Lekki–Ajah, or nearby areas.
