Job summary
We are establishing a Nigeria-focused investment and operating platform centered on infrastructure, industrial development, and structured public–private partnerships. The platform works at the intersection of federal government engagement and private-sector execution, with a long-term, disciplined approach. We seek a high-caliber Executive Assistant based in Abuja. This is not a solely administrative role. It is an analytical and coordination role supporting strategic engagement in Nigeria’s public and private sectors. You will support research, briefing preparation, stakeholder mapping, and disciplined follow-through across engagements with ministries, agencies, and private-sector operators. This position is ideal for a highly intelligent, politically aware graduate who wants exposure to infrastructure, industrial development, and structured investment activity in Nigeria.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured research on sectors such as power, gas, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, and government procurement
- Prepare concise briefing memos before meetings
- Map key stakeholders across ministries, agencies, and regulatory bodies
- Track policy and regulatory developments
- Draft follow-up communications and organize documentation
- Coordinate meetings and maintain structured records
- Conduct targeted due diligence on companies and counterparties
- Assist in preparing concept notes and presentation materials
Requirements:
- University graduate with strong academic performance (First Class or strong 2:1 preferred)
- 3+ years of experience
- Deep interest in Nigeria’s economy, industrial development, and political structure
- Working knowledge of how federal ministries and procurement processes function
- Strong writing ability (clear, structured, concise)
- Advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, research tools, document preparation)
- Fluency in English and at least one of: Yoruba, Hausa, or Igbo
- High discretion and professional judgment
- Ideal (But Not Mandatory) Background
- Experience in Big 4 consulting, infrastructure advisory, policy research, or ministry support roles
- Exposure to PPPs, concessions, or structured government contracting
- Prior work supporting senior executives or public officials
- Comfort operating around senior civil servants and political offices
- Calm, disciplined, and thoughtful
- Not partisan, but politically aware
- Strong integrity and discretion
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Able to operate independently without constant supervision
- Comfortable saying “I don’t know” and researching properly
Structure & Compensation:
- Abuja-based
- Initial paid 1-month trial engagement followed by paid 6-month engagement, and then, based on performance, long-term employment with strong potential for promotion
- Competitive salary in line with experience
