Job Summary

The Telesales representative is responsible for initiating outbound calls to potential customers with the goal of promoting and selling products or services. Your main objective will be to generate leads, close sales, and meet or exceed sales targets.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Outbound Calls: Initiate outgoing calls to prospective customers from a provided list or database to introduce products/services and generate interest.
  • Sales Pitch: Deliver persuasive and compelling sales pitches to promote the features and benefits of the products/services being offered.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage prospects in meaningful conversations, identify their needs, and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Close Sales: Utilize effective sales techniques to convert prospects into paying customers and achieve individual sales quotas/targets.
  • Sales Follow-up: Follow up on leads and customer inquiries to maintain ongoing relationships and nurture potential opportunities.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the products/services offered, their unique selling points, and any updates or changes to present accurate information to customers.
  • CRM Management: Accurately record all customer interactions and sales-related information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Objection Handling: Address customer concerns, handle objections, and provide suitable solutions to increase the likelihood of sales conversions.
  • Sales Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and progress toward sales goals.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or any relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in telesales, customer  service, or related roles 
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn about new products/services.
  • Ability to meet sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Persuasive and confident demeanour. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
