Job Summary

A Sales Engr. who will attract new clients, build solid relationships, maintain existing relationships, assist with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective. Other duties will include market research, sales admin, developing business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of projects & identifying new business opportunities

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in designated regions
  • Cultivate and develop strong long-term relationships with new clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements, while maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Conduct market research and identify potential clients, new business opportunities and partners.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analysing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
  • Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required. Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
  • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
  • Analyse costs and sales
  • Prepare reports for head office and keep customer records
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, products, and technology advancements.
  • Collaborate with the sales, technical, engineering and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in sales of loading arms, Valves, and Actuators
  • Strong understanding and solid technical background of Engineering equipment procurement and installation, energy markets, and regulatory environments of the EPICOM sector.
  • Good technical understanding of loading arms, Valves, and Actuators systems and components would be an added bonus
  • 1 - 2 years' relevant work experience in business development in Oil and Gas Servicing, equipment installation or a similar field is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety.
  • Demonstrated sales and marketing skills.
  • Sound judgment and good business sense.
  • Teamwork ability

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and tenacity
  • Independence and self-reliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
