Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop sales strategy and business plan to drive the company's product lines and business growth in alignment with the achievement of the company's set goals, including increasing sales,  market share, and profitability; cascade it down to a quarterly and monthly sales operations plan. 
  • Responsible for managing the entire sales pipeline, i.e., managing the sales process from order to invoice; this is achieved by interacting with all relevant departments within the Company. 
  • Drive the penetration of our factories' offerings in Nigeria from account and revenue  planning (strategy) through execution (client meetings and business development cycle) 


OEM Partnership Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between our two factories. 
  • Ensure adherence to partnership agreements, factory expectations, and performance benchmarks.
  • Coordinate trainings, updates, and factory support to enhance technical knowledge and sales effectiveness.


Key Account Management:

  • Manage and grow relationships with key clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, demonstrations, and after-sales follow-ups.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to clients during the sales cycle. 


Market Development:

  • • Create visibility for the brand's offerings through exhibitions, seminars, and targeted campaigns. 
  • • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for positioning and differentiation. 
  • • Work with marketing and technical teams to develop tailored solutions for customers.


Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and progress via CRM tools.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for management. 
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as sales performance, market feedback, and competitor activity.


Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, to ensure a unified approach toward business development goals 
  • Work with the finance team to achieve the goals for revenue, margin, sales/pipeline planning, pipeline execution, deal review, pricing, and negotiation strategies. 
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure effective installations, training, and after-sales support.
  • Mentor and support sales administrators and executives handling related transactions. 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Sciences, or a related field (a master’s or MBA is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ sales experience in scientific, laboratory, or industrial instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated experience promoting laboratory OEMs’ offerings in Nigeria is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing technical sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with OEM management and B2B sales in a similar industry. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of laboratory equipment and instruments 
  • Business development and strategic selling 
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills 
  • Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving ability 
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and highly organised 
  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office tools
