The Sales Manager is a strategic and operational role, and the incumbent is responsible for leading the regional field sales team and driving the actualization of the business objectives the region in the region. He/She will contribute to the overall purpose of the business which is to generate revenue and maximize value for the organization.

- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence in the market
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships with all professional and trade stakeholders by partnering with them and understanding and providing solutions to their needs to ensure continuous loyalty
- Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts for the region to the management.
- Monitor sales and admin expenses and constantly strive to drive down costs and maximize revenue and profit for the business
- Provide the needed supervision, motivation, and direction to the sales team to achieve the regional sales targets.
- Develop an annual business plan to achieve the sales targets for the region and team.
- Carry out regular joint and coaching calls and supervise the detailing, promotion, and sales of the company’s range of products to healthcare practitioners and trade customers in the territory by the Sales Representatives.
- Carry out the mandatory performance appraisal of the sales team when required.
- Other duties as may be assigned or necessary.
- B.Pharm/Pharm. D in Pharmacy or B.Sc in the Life Sciences or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years of successful field sales experience and a minimum of 2 years in a similar role in a structured organization.
- Possession of an MBA is an advantage.
