Our client seeks to hire a Sales Development Manager. Sales Development Managers are responsible for overseeing and improving the sales department within an organization, as well as generating new business opportunities and developing strategies for educating and motivating employees.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Contract negotiations and sales closing
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to identify new business opportunities and expand the construction firm's client base.
  • Creating and nurturing relationships with potential clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to design and execute effective lead-generation campaigns.
  • Monitoring sales metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Training and mentoring sales staff to enhance their product knowledge, communication skills, and sales techniques.
  • Developing pricing strategies and negotiating contracts with clients to ensure profitable deals for the firm.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement within the sales cycle and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Representing the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's services and build relationships.


Requirements:

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in any related discipline 
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in the construction, chemical, technical sales, or waterproofing construction material sales
  • Proficiency in using collaboration and productivity tools
  • Strong Industry Knowledge: Understand the construction business inside out, from materials to processes.
  • Lead Generation Skills: Generate new business leads effectively to keep the sales pipeline full.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and upper management.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Create effective sales strategies and plans to meet company goals.
  • Product Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of the construction firm's products and services.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to make informed decisions and adjustments.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in response to changing market conditions and customer needs.
