Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Source, arrange, co-ordinate and follow through on potential sales appointments
  • Continuously creating and growing demand for all the company’s products-OTC and ethics- through aggressive detailing, presentations, clinical meetings and effective distribution.
  • Efficiently meeting and surpassing agreed sales and all other performance targets.
  • Closely monitoring competition with a view to advising management on how to remain competitive in the market.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with company clients to ensure ultimate satisfaction while providing feedback to the management team with respect to client comments or concerns.


Requirements:

  • Minimum academic qualification of B.Sc. or its equivalent in any of the Life Sciences from a reputable university or institution of higher learning.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of proven work experience as a Sales Manager or similar role.
  • Be able to demonstrate a good geographical knowledge of their preferred location. 
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Have some experience as a sales representative in a reputable firm in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive long distances.
  • Be a workaholic.
  • Be fluent in the dominant language in their territory.
