Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
- Source, arrange, co-ordinate and follow through on potential sales appointments
- Continuously creating and growing demand for all the company’s products-OTC and ethics- through aggressive detailing, presentations, clinical meetings and effective distribution.
- Efficiently meeting and surpassing agreed sales and all other performance targets.
- Closely monitoring competition with a view to advising management on how to remain competitive in the market.
- Maintain a strong relationship with company clients to ensure ultimate satisfaction while providing feedback to the management team with respect to client comments or concerns.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of B.Sc. or its equivalent in any of the Life Sciences from a reputable university or institution of higher learning.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of proven work experience as a Sales Manager or similar role.
- Be able to demonstrate a good geographical knowledge of their preferred location.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Have some experience as a sales representative in a reputable firm in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive long distances.
- Be a workaholic.
- Be fluent in the dominant language in their territory.
