Job Summary

The HR Officer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day human resources operations of the school. This includes managing staff recruitment, employee relations, documentation, and compliance, while ensuring that all HR practices support the school’s mission and promote a positive work environment.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and staff engagement.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for both teaching and non-teaching staff, drafting job descriptions, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records such as contracts, attendance, leave, and performance documentation.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, staff welfare programs, and periodic training or development sessions
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, school standards, and Nigerian labour laws.
  • Liaise with the finance department to support payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Draft and maintain HR-related reports, policies, and documentation for management use.
  • Support performance management and appraisal processes.
  • Foster a positive and professional workplace culture aligned with the school’s mission and values.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
