Job summary

The school outreach coordinator (AI literacy) is responsible for the planning, delivery, and monitoring of AI-4AI’s AI school outreach programmes across schools in Africa. The role focuses on operational execution, coordinating school engagements, leading AI training delivery, distributing learning resources and maintaining relationships with teachers and partner schools.

Responsibilities:


School Outreach Delivery & Coordination:

  • Coordinate AI literacy outreach activities across assigned schools, including scheduling sessions, confirming logistics, and liaising with school administrators and teachers.
  • Coordinate in-person and virtual delivery of AI literacy sessions for secondary school students.
  • Ensure each school engagement follows the approved outreach model, curriculum, and delivery guidelines.
  • Prepare facilitators and volunteers for training sessions, workshops, and school visits.
  • Deliver AI literacy training sessions across schools.


Teacher & School Engagement:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for participating teachers before, during, and after outreach activities.
  • Coordinate teacher participation in professional development programmes, including onboarding, session reminders, and follow-up communication.
  • Assist schools in understanding how to continue AI learning independently using provided resources.
  • Coordinate the rollout of educational materials, tools and guides to participating schools.

Requirements:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and professional documentation.
  • Research capability to gather, analyse, and organise information for reports, presentations, and decision-making.
  • Experience or aptitude in teaching and training staff, including preparing training materials and conducting knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Effective storytelling skills to communicate ideas, processes, and data in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Proficiency in AI tools to support administrative tasks such as content creation, data analysis, and workflow automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong project management skills, including task planning, prioritisation, tracking, and timely delivery.
  • AI literacy with the ability to understand, adopt, and responsibly use AI-powered tools in administrative and operational functions.
