Job descriptions & requirements
Company Description
Girls and Goals Initiative is a feminist, girl- and woman-centred organisation advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), menstrual health and hygiene, and gender equality through school-based programmes, community engagement, advocacy, and policy-influencing work.
We centre adolescent girls while engaging women, boys, and communities through gender-transformative education that strengthens bodily autonomy, leadership, and confidence, and challenges harmful social norms that limit girls’ and women’s rights and opportunities.
Our menstrual health work goes beyond one-off pad distribution. We have established over 16 school- and community-based PAD Banks across nine states in Nigeria, a semi-sustainable model that ensures ongoing access to menstrual products. These PAD Banks are stocked through community support and student-led contributions, supported by training girls to produce reusable pads, enabling schools to replenish supplies independently and reduce long-term reliance on external donations.
We also operate a peer education and preparedness model, with 350 trained female and male peer educators supporting SRHR education, menstrual preparedness, and early conversations with girls starting menstruation, helping to reduce stigma, absenteeism, and school drop-out. To date, we have reached thousands of adolescents, supported over 50 girls to remain in school, and mobilised a volunteer network of over 2,000 people advancing grassroots gender justice.
As we scale, we are building strong systems, partnerships, and shared leadership structures to ensure sustainable impact beyond founder-led operations.
