Job summary
We are seeking a highly competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's financial records, monitor transactions, and support sound financial decision-making. The ideal candidate must be hands-on, analytical, and commercially aware, with strong accounting skills and the ability to manage financial operations efficiently. The candidate should demonstrate a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and initiative, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, management accounts, and periodic financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, track company expenditures, and ensure proper financial planning and control.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, financial records, and account balances regularly.
- Monitor project budgets, property development costs, and construction-related expenses.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions accurately.
- Identify financial discrepancies, investigate irregularities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and ensure effective internal controls.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
- Support financial audits and ensure that all necessary records and documentation are readily available.
- Provide management with financial insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an HND in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within real estate, property development, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant financial management tools.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Highly proactive, hands-on, and capable of managing financial operations with minimal supervision.
- Strong integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and other departments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Remuneration: NGN 400,000 – 500,000 Monthly.
