Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver English language lessons aligned with the Montessori and Nigerian curricula.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and creative writing.
- Encourage confident reading, speaking, and listening through interactive activities.
- Assess and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback and support.
- Prepare pupils for internal and external assessments.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes literacy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed. / B.A. English / Linguistics) or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching English in a primary school.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with Montessori or modern child-centered teaching methods is an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Creative lesson planning and classroom management
- Ability to motivate and engage young learners
- Good organizational and assessment skills
- Team spirit, patience, and professionalism.
