Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to Basic 5 & 6 pupils using engaging and effective instructional techniques.
- Prepare lesson plans, class notes, and teaching materials in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess pupils’ performance through tests, assignments, and classroom participation.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school management to enhance academic outcomes.
- Participate in staff meetings, school programs, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Minnimium B.Ed. in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (B.Sc. in Mathematics with PGDE is also acceptable).
- Minimum of 2 years teaching Mathematics at upper primary (Basic 5 & 6) and/or junior secondary (JSS) levels.
- Must reside within or close to New Layout, Port Harcourt, to ensure punctuality and consistent attendance.
Remuneration: NGN 80,000 monthly
Location: Portharcourt
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
