Chinese Translator

Responsibilities:

• Translate and interpret between Chinese and English accurately and effectively.
• Provide interpretation during meetings, interviews, training, and project discussions.
• Translate documents, reports, emails, contracts, manuals, and other business materials.
• Assist Chinese management and technical teams in communicating with Nigerian employees and stakeholders.
• Provide interpretation during site visits and project activities.
• Ensure translations maintain the correct meaning, context, and technical terminology.
• Assist with communication between departments and help resolve language barriers.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company and project information.
• Perform other translation and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, International Relations, or a related field.
  
• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, spoken and written.
• HSK certification is an added advantage.
• Previous experience as a Chinese Translator/Interpreter is preferred.
• Experience working with Chinese companies, construction, engineering, mining, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Chinese and Nigerian business culture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to translate accurately under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an added advantage.
