Travel and Tour Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Research and assimilate various destinations and means of travel regarding visa processing requirements, travel costs, customs, weather conditions, reviews, etc.
• Promote and treat our visa packages and other travel services.
• Advise clients of the appropriate destination that they are qualified to travel to based on their travel history and their modes of transportation, travel dates, costs, and accommodations, with clients to determine their needs and
• Provide relevant information, brochures, and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events, etc) to travelers.
• Resolve challenges relating to customers’ trips, complaints, or refunds.
• Attend travel seminars to remain updated with travel and tourism trends.
• Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services.
• Organize trips from beginning to end, through the processing of the relevant travel visa, flight ticket booking, hotel accommodation, and booking of interesting tours and activities, and any other services the client may need.
• Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility.
• Create and update electronic records of clients.
• Keep the client’s information, documents such as financial statements, travel itinerary, and all other documents confidential.
• Reach the revenue and profit targets.
• Regularly maintain a good relationship with our customers.
• Provide all relevant and essential information to the client regarding their travel, like guides, itineraries, brochures, and maps.
• Negotiate any customizations or modifications requested by clients and accommodate to the very best possible degree.
• Regularly update a database containing client details and travel information.
• Profile clients for visa processing
• Provide consultation services for clients.
• Respond to all inquiries on behalf of the visa department.
• Convert inquiries to sales

Requirements:

• Over three (3) years of proven working experience as a Travel and Tour Consultant
• Proven knowledge of visa processing for most destinations
• Proficiency in any of the GDS.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in any field.
• Exemplary sales skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Well-versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual, etc.)
• Ability to present, persuade, and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
