Job summary

We are looking for a confident and disciplined field sales representative to help grow the distribution of Kingsmen Custard across Lagos and nearby trade routes. The ideal candidate must be comfortable visiting provision stores, neighbourhood retailers, mini-marts, open-market sellers, food vendors, schools, canteens, and small distributors.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Visit assigned sales routes daily to prospect, open, and manage retail accounts.
  • Introduce Kingsmen Custard to retailers, resellers, food vendors, schools, and small distributors.
  • Explain the product story clearly, including its carrot and soy positioning.
  • Take orders, follow up on deliveries, and support repeat purchases.
  • Monitor product visibility in shops and ensure products are well displayed.
  • Support market activation, tasting sessions, and retailer engagement activities.
  • Collect customer feedback, competitor pricing information, and market objections.
  • Manage retailer relationships and resolve basic customer complaints.
  • Follow up on payment collection according to company policy.
  • Record daily visits, orders, payments, customer feedback, and outlet status.
  • Protect company sales materials such as posters, table cards, and display stands.
  • Work with the team to achieve weekly sales and outlet growth targets.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience
  • Minimum of an HND
  • Previous experience in FMCG, food product sales, retail sales, open-market sales, or field sales is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable walking markets and visiting many shops daily.
  • Must be persuasive, polite, and confident when speaking with retailers.
  • Must understand basic sales discipline: pricing, margin, credit risk, follow-up, and payment collection.
  • Must be honest, reliable, and able to submit accurate daily reports.
  • Must be able to use WhatsApp and basic mobile apps for reporting.
  • Good knowledge of Lagos trade routes is an advantage.
  • Must be willing to take a short objective sales assessment before final selection.
