STEM Research & Technical Writing Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist in writing, editing, and formatting scientific and technical papers for journals, conferences, and internal publications.
• Conduct literature reviews and lectures and summarize findings relevant to the company’s research focus areas.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to translate technical data into clear, professional reports, books, and journals.
• Use AI and digital tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Notion AI, etc.) to support writing, research, and data presentation.
• Support proposal and grant writing for research and innovation funding.
• Maintain organized records of research data, references, and document versions.
• Contribute to social media or outreach materials that communicate scientific findings to non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s (final year) or Master’s degree student/recent graduate in any STEM field (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, etc.).
• Strong Mathematics and computation skills
• Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Experience or familiarity with academic or technical writing.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for writing, data analysis, and research.
• Attention to detail, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
• Must be based in Benin City, Edo State, or willing to work on-site when required.
• Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, or scientific innovation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple writing projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a research and engineering team.

Remuneration: NGN 150,000– 400,000 (Negotiable depending on experience & skills) + benefits.

Probation Period (test period): This position includes a 4-month probation period, after which salary and incentives will be reviewed based on performance
