Job summary
We are seeking a School Secretary who will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records, supporting school-wide communication efforts, and ensuring effective documentation management. This role requires a smart, mature, and articulate female professional who is confident, well-presented, and able to interact professionally with teenagers, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date student records in both physical and digital formats.
- Organise and maintain proper filing systems for student records, correspondence, and confidential documents.
- Draft, edit, and disseminate internal and external communications, including newsletters, circulars, memos, text messages, and emails, to parents, staff, and stakeholders.
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students, managing the school reception with courtesy and efficiency.
- Provide secretarial and scheduling support to the school leadership team, including booking appointments and preparing documents.
- Support the Administrative Manager in coordinating the restocking of administrative materials and student forms.
- Assist with new student intake and ensure proper documentation when a student leaves the school.
- Maintain academic and event calendars and communicate changes to staff and parents.
- Assist in circulating memos, meeting reminders, and staff communications as needed.
- Handle all school-related information with discretion and maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2–3 years in an administrative or secretarial role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident, courteous, and approachable demeanour.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and manage administrative priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Basic understanding of school administration and record-keeping practices.
- Experience with email and SMS communication tools.
- Knowledge of office filing systems (manual and digital).
- Comfort using school management or student information systems.
