Job Description

We are looking for you to support our Marketing and Business Development activities, working with the GM and the Digital Marketing Strategy Officer and other team members. Since we are a start-up, we require your unique skills to manage sales & marketing events, market research, develop unique marketing strategies, improve customer service, and work to meet the sales target of the organisation. You will also contribute to the overall goal of increased profitability through targeted sales to a rapidly expanding and loyal customer base. You will achieve this by driving store sales, creating favourable store sales policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and rapidly grow the company.


You will support our Marketing and Business Development activities, working with the GM and the Digital Marketing Strategy Officer and other team members. For this position, we require at least a bachelor's degree. An MBA or master’s degree in a related field is an asset, but not required. You should be familiar with a variety of the B2B Marketing concepts, practices and procedures. 


The Marketing Representative will report directly to the General Manager. You will combine and hone your skills, in a strategic operational team, to develop marketing strategies and drive success in rapid succession. Career prospects, training and mentorship opportunities exist, based on the success of the company. As the successful candidate, you will be guided by the business plan and be required to make adjustments/ improve on expected outputs quarterly.


The duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Representative shall include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare and maintain all prime targeted referral sources, in addition to directing new referrals
  • Identify new referral sources, follow-up defaulted clients and find out needs to re-establish service
  • Provide referral sources using information on our products and services
  • Identify the needs of our targeted audience, coordinate educational fairs, events and programs that will increase sales
  • Develop quarterly marketing plan with the General Manager
  • Participate in continuous marketing and planning evaluation activities including ongoing competitive analysis, marketing needs evaluation and referrals tracking
  • Plan and organize events and activities to promote MICCA NG image
  • Facilitate coordination of all marketing activities, participate in programs, projects and business planning meetings and report all marketing and sales issues appropriately
  • Participate in corporate as well as all in-house trainings as required
  • Develop and execute effective, innovative and comprehensive company marketing programs and strategies
  • Work with the ICT-Digital Marketing Officer to monitor trends in all social media tools and applications along with applying main findings in your strategies

Other functions include:

  • Pitching our products and services to targeted audience
  • Public Relations i.e. being a positive public image of the company’s product and services
  • Help write and design company’s blogs, flyers, brochures, technical papers on sales and marketing, and newsletters.
  • Participate in market research, including surveys, customer questionnaires, customer retention and repeat rates etc.
  • Keep sales records and also give customers feedback
  • Other related duties that may be assigned by your Supervisor


Working conditions 

Work will require ability to lift small to medium weights

Travel within the Lagos and surrounding cities/ towns will be required. Occasional sponsored travel outside Lagos state may be required. 

Commission-based.

Language skills required:

Proficient in English and at least 1 other local language (comprehension, speaking, writing and listening). Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
