We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant/Janitor who will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and supporting basic office operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and conducive for productivity while providing general support to staff when needed.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the office, pantry, and common areas
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
- Assist with basic office errands such as photocopying, filing, and organising supplies
- Prepare and serve refreshments during meetings when needed
- Monitor and replenish office and pantry supplies
- Support minor maintenance tasks and report issues promptly
- Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards
Requirements:
- OND or equivalent
- Prior experience as a utility staff or office assistant is an advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions and manage time effectively
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning tasks
- Candidate must reside within Victoria Island or its environs.
- Honest, dependable, and with a positive work attitude
- Basic knowledge of cleaning tools, materials, and safety procedures
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
