Logistics Officer

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the procurement and shipment of materials from suppliers to project sites.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the local market, suppliers, pricing trends, and availability of materials.
• Handle sourcing and verification of electrical and mechanical materials, ensuring they meet project requirements.
• Manage inventory and storage processes, ensuring accurate stock records and proper warehouse organization.
• Prepare, review, and maintain all logistics and procurement documentation, including delivery notes, purchase orders, waybills, and inventory logs.
• Ensure material quality control by inspecting deliveries and confirming compliance with specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor material movement and track shipments to avoid delays or shortages.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards.
• Provide regular reports on stock levels, material usage, and logistics operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in logistics operations within construction, engineering, or technical industries.
• Strong knowledge of the local market, including sourcing and supplier relationships.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical materials.
• Experience in inventory management, warehouse control, and storage systems.
• Knowledge of logistics documentation and record keeping.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
