Inventory Officer
Job summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and controlling stock within the skin care retail store to ensure accurate inventory records, product availability, and minimal losses. The role involves monitoring stock levels, tracking product movement, preventing expiries and damages, and supporting overall store operations.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all skin care products (cleansers, serums, creams, sunscreens, etc.).
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track product expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
- Inspect products for damage, leaks, or packaging defects.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement team on stock orders and deliveries.
- Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for management.
- Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving products and provide restocking recommendations.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize theft and shrinkage.
- Ensure proper labeling, pricing, and organization of products on shelves and in storage.
- Support promotional planning by ensuring adequate stock levels during campaigns.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage conditions to protect product quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Minimum of an SSCE
