Responsibilities:
External Operations & Outreach:
- Respond to business inquiries via email and phone, ensuring timely, professional communication.
- Research and apply for fairs, grants, pop-ups, and other opportunities aligned with the company’s mission.
- Coordinate participation and organization of events, including logistics, booth setup, materials, and transportation.
- Represent MNIKS Purple at events, engaging with customers, clients, and partners.
- Stay updated on fashion, AI, design tools, industry events, and social media trends.
- Support innovation and outreach initiatives based on research and trends.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of fabrics, trimmings, sewing materials, and ready-to-wear items.
- Track stock levels, identify low stock, and assist with supplier orders.
- Organize and categorize products for efficient inventory management.
Daily Bookkeeping & Administrative Support:
- Assist with bookkeeping and financial record-keeping under supervision.
- Record and reconcile expenses, including inventory purchases and event costs.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
- Use AI and automation tools (Notion AI, Google Calendar, email filters) to manage appointments, meetings, emails, deadlines, and digital files.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Event Management, Fashion Business, Retail Management, or a related field. Candidates with other degrees may be considered if they demonstrate strong operational and organizational skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and basic accounting tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn basic business operations, proposal writing, event planning, inventory management, and bookkeeping.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining professional relationships.
- Adaptability, problem-solving, multitasking, and strong communication skills.
- Applicants must reside in Lagos, preferably in Surulere, and be able to commute to Surulere easily.
Desirable:
- Experience in fashion (design, tailoring, merchandising, or retail).
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, or other platforms).
- Previous experience in event management, trade shows, fairs, or pop-ups.
- Strong passion for fashion and retail.
A Typical Day Includes:
- Morning check-in with the Operations Manager to review priorities.
- Respond to emails and follow up on business correspondence.
- Update inventory records and coordinate with suppliers.
- Prepare and file digital and physical documents.
- Track daily financials and support reporting.
- Research and apply for business growth opportunities.
- Set up and break down pop-ups, fairs, and event logistics.
- Support marketing campaigns and social media content.
- Contribute to special projects and provide input on product presentation and workspace organization.
- Assist team members, provide feedback on style and fit, and promote MNIKS Purple products and services.

Location: Akerele Street, Surulere, Lagos.
Employment Type: Full-time, 3-month probationary training period with hands-on experience in operations, inventory, event coordination, and bookkeeping. Successful completion may lead to permanent employment.
Working Hours: Monday–Saturday, 09:00 – 18:00 (1-hour break). Flexibility is required during peak periods, weekends, and public holidays.
