Sales Floor / Inventory Assistant
Job summary
We are seeking a diligent, customer-focused, and detail-orientated sales floor / inventory assistant to support daily store operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, managing product inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring products are properly handled and documented. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

- Attend to customers promptly, professionally, and accurately.
- Maintain a cheerful, friendly, and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Remain attentive to customers entering the store and respond promptly to product inquiries and requests.
- Identify and distinguish between various phone models and related products.
- Ensure products are handed out correctly and accurately according to customer requests.
- Verify product details before transferring items to the cashier.
- Record all products issued in the designated inventory logbook and ensure accurate documentation.
- Handle all products with care to prevent damage or loss.
- Return cartons and products to their designated shelves and storage locations after use.
- Ensure products are returned to the correct cartons and properly organized.
- Maintain accurate records of newly received products for stock updates.
- Report discrepancies where products appear available in the system but are not physically in stock.
- Participate in periodic stock reconciliation and inventory audits.
- Process waybill requests promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Remain focused and alert throughout working hours to support smooth store operations.
- Stand for extended periods while carrying out assigned duties.
- Minimum of an OND in any relevant field
- Knowledge of mobile phone models and accessories is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and basic inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
