Job summary

Responsible for the effective management, control and accountability of all construction materials, tools, equipment, consumables and other inventory at the project site. Role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate stock records while ensuring materials are properly received, stored, issued and accounted for.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily store and warehouse operations at the project site.
  • Receive, inspect, count and properly document incoming materials.
  • Issue materials only against approved requisitions and maintain accurate records of all stock movements.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Control and track tools, equipment, PPE, consumables and construction materials.
  • Ensure proper storage, preservation, identification and arrangement of materials.
  • Monitor material wastage, damages, losses and discrepancies and promptly report the same.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock/inventory reports.
  • Coordinate effectively with Procurement, Project Management, QS, Engineers, HSE, Finance and Security teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements and store control policies.


Requirements:

  • OND in Procurement & Supply, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Stores Management or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within the construction, real estate, engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Practical knowledge of construction materials, inventory control and warehouse/store management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
  • Strong numerical, documentation and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction/project environment.
