Logistics Associate
Job summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to coordinate order processing, pricing updates, and dispatch across livestock (DOC and other livestock) and other agricultural products while supporting customers reaching us through our platforms(USSD and AVA).

Responsibilities:
Logistics and Dispatch Coordination:
- Coordinate the dispatch of both livestock (DOC and other livestock) and other agricultural products (Non-DOC) orders, ensuring shipments move on schedule and any delays are addressed promptly
- Monitor livestock (DOC and other livestock) and other agricultural products (Non-DOC) orders dispatch logs daily to track progress and flag issues early
- Support Point of Loading (POL) dispatch and order pickup processes to ensure smooth handoffs
- Maintain and update shipping and delivery sheets to reflect current order status
- Review and update shipping prices for other agricultural products (Non-DOC) orders as needed
- Follow up on logistics requests from internal teams and external partners promptly
Order Processing:
- Complete and update customer orders on the livestock sheet each day to keep records current and accurate
- Coordinate order pickup arrangements with relevant parties
Pricing Management:
- Update product prices on the e-commerce platform regularly to reflect current rates
- Update forecasted prices on the e-commerce platform ahead of anticipated changes
- Customer Support
- Respond promptly to calls and requests received through our platforms
- Monitor logs from our platforms to identify and address outstanding customer needs
- Respond to and follow up on customer complaints until they are fully resolved
Reporting and Metrics:
- Update and complete all relevant performance metrics daily
- Maintain accurate call log metrics
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and potential cost savings
- Prepare regular reports covering procurement, inventory, and logistics performance
- Support the development of dashboards that track key supply chain metrics
Inventory Management:
- Support periodic warehouse stocktaking exercises
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and adjustments
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all supply chain activities are carried out in line with company policy and regulatory requirements
- Maintain proper documentation for all supply chain transactions
- Support audits by providing accurate and complete records when required
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the commercial, sales, and finance teams to meet supply chain needs
- Serve as a point of contact between internal teams and external suppliers
- Attend relevant meetings and respond to requests as they arise
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain and help develop strategies to mitigate them
- Monitor market trends and supply chain disruptions, and recommend measures to minimize their impact
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Agriculture, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, inventory, or procurement role
- Experience in agriculture, e-commerce, or FMCG is an advantage
- Good understanding of inventory management and logistics coordination
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools like Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly, especially when logistics issues come up
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
