Job summary

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Officer with startup experience to join IMATA Logistics and help us become the best logistics company in Enugu. You will manage delivery operations, rider coordination, route planning, and customer support in a fast-paced environment. Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate rider assignments and ensure timely pickups and deliveries
  • Monitor parcel status and tracking; resolve delays and exceptions
  • Plan and optimise routes for intra-city and interstate deliveries
  • Support customers on tracking, delivery issues, and complaints
  • Work with riders on performance, availability, and compliance
  • Manage hub operations, including parcel sorting and handover
  • Track KPIs (on-time delivery, turnaround time, customer satisfaction)
  • Support dispatch systems and operational processes
  • Escalate and help resolve disputes and failed deliveries
  • Support operational reporting and process improvements.


Requirements:

  • Operations coordination: Assigning riders. managing schedules and tracking parcels
  • Problem-Solving: Handling delays, exceptions, and customer issues
  • Communication: Clear updates to riders, customers, and internal teams
  • Route planning: Basic understanding of zones and delivery optimisation
  • Startup mindset: Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excel/reporting: Tracking KPIs and preparing simple reports
  • Customer focus: Resolving complaints and improving the delivery experience and customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to use IT system data to evaluate facility performance and quality, and plan improvements

  • SLA compliance rate
  • Complaint resolution time
  • Operational cost efficiency
  • Cash reconciliation accuracy
