Inventory Officer
Job summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining optimal stock levels of medical supplies, optical products, pharmaceuticals, and equipment at Hephzibah Eye Care. The role ensures accurate inventory records, timely procurement, and proper storage to support smooth clinical and retail operations.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all stock items (lenses, frames, eye drops, surgical supplies, consumables, etc.)
Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking
Conduct regular physical stock, counts, and reconciliations.
Track expiry dates for medicines and medical supplies
Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
Prepare and process purchase orders
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery
Compare quotations and ensure cost-effective purchasing
Maintain supplier database and records
Stock Control & Documentation:
Update the inventory management system regularly
Record goods received and issued.
Ensure proper labeling and storage of items
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
Reporting:
Generate weekly/monthly stock reports
Report discrepancies, damages, or losses
Provide stock forecasts based on usage trends
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure storage complies with medical and safety standards
Monitor expiry and batch numbers
Follow internal control procedures
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in inventory/stores management (healthcare experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
