Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Teach automotive theory and practical classes following Glitec’s approved curriculum.
- Demonstrate competency in mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
- Train students on diagnostic tools such as OBD2 scanners, digital multimeters, and automotive software.
- Conduct hands-on workshops covering engine systems, transmissions, suspension, brakes, cooling systems, and electrical circuits.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments.
- Monitor student progress, assign projects, and evaluate performance.
- Ensure safety standards and proper use of workshop equipment.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and real industry insights to trainees.
- Support practical operations through Glitec Auto Care (real workshop experience).
- Participate in training, meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support management in pricing, quotations, and cost-saving initiatives.
The instructor must be able to teach most of the following areas
- Vehicle maintenance & servicing
- Engine diagnosis & repair
- Electrical/electronic systems troubleshooting
- Fuel systems & injection technologies
- Gearbox & transmission systems
- Suspension, steering & braking
- Air conditioning systems
- Hybrid & EV basics (added advantage)
- Safety standards & workshop procedures
- Use of diagnostic tools (OBD2, scanners, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Requirements:
- OND/HND/B.Tech/BSc in Mechanical, Automobile Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and repair modern vehicles (manual and automatic).
- Strong understanding of workshop tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Teaching or training experience is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of both old and modern vehicles
- Ability to diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
