The Sensor Integration & Industrial Bus Engineer is responsible for the physical installation, wiring, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of the facility sensor network, and for the complete Modbus-to-MQTT data pipeline that delivers that sensor data to the NOC and billing platforms.

The hardware staging & hot-swap engineer executes all physical hardware lifecycle operations at the AfWS data centre — from initial chassis intake and rack mounting through 72-hour automated burn-in cycles, hot-swap maintenance, and fault-rotation operations.

The network fabric & security infrastructure engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the multi-tier network fabric and cryptographic access control infrastructure of the AfWS compute platform. This person enforces VLAN isolation boundaries, provisions tenant mTLS certificates, configures packet filtering rules.

The Backend Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side architecture that powers the AfWS data centre software stack. This includes the APIs, data pipelines, authentication systems, and MQTT integration layers that connect HASIP, FLOPSFlex, GOCLIMS, and SteadGrid.

The Frontend Software Engineer is responsible for building the web interfaces that tenants, data centre operators, and NOC staff interact with daily. The two primary products are GOCLIMS (the tenant portal for server and workload management) and SteadGrid (the real-time NOC dashboard).

The Product Designer is responsible for the end-to-end UI/UX design of the AfWS data centre software products — GOCLIMS and SteadGrid — as well as hardware user documentation and any marketing or brand design requirements. This role sits at the intersection of product thinking and visual craft. The designer works directly from product requirements
