Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise fiber deployment projects and submit accurate progress reports.
- Request materials and ensure timely conveyance to the site.
- Splice all completed projects and confirm PON availability before handover to Service Delivery.
- Ensure thorough site cleaning and no rework after deployment.
- Monitor project expenses and manage material requests to optimize costs.
- Document and archive all splicing records.
- Provide timely project status updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members and perform other duties assigned by the line manager.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in fiber optic cable (FOC) splicing, fiber maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret FTTH designs and a solid understanding of FTTH networks.
- Proficiency with FOC testing tools (OTDR, power meter, VFL, etc.).
- CFOT certification (CFOS is an added advantage).
- Strong reporting skills using Excel and other tools.
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- First degree in any related field.
