Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Planning video content
- Shooting and editing video content for a variety of projects, including promotional videos, social media content, corporate events, and more.
Requirements:
Motion Graphics:
- Proficiency in industry-standard motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender).
- Experience in creating complex motion graphics, including 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and kinetic typography.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to create motion graphics that enhance video content, emphasizing clarity and impact.
- Knowledge of integrating motion graphics with live-action footage.
Video Editing:
- Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Experience with color grading, sound design, and audio mixing to enhance video quality.
- Strong storytelling ability, with a keen eye for detail in pacing, continuity, and narrative flow
- Proficient in editing various formats, including promotional videos, tutorials, social media content, and long-form videos.
- Ability to work with raw footage and transform it into polished, cohesive content.
Creative and Technical Abilities:
- Strong aesthetic sense, with the ability to visualize and execute creative concepts that align with brand identity and project goals.
- Ability to contribute ideas and collaborate with teams to develop innovative and engaging content.
- Proficiency in using various plugins, scripts, and templates to streamline workflows and enhance production quality.
- Strong understanding of video codecs, formats, and export settings for different platforms (web, broadcast, social media).
- Familiarity with integrating graphics and animations with other multimedia elements (e.g., sound, voiceover, music)
Portfolio and Experience:
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of motion graphics and video editing projects.
- Examples of past work that showcase versatility, creativity, and technical proficiency in both motion graphics and video editing.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in motion graphics and video editing.
- Experience collaborating with clients, creative teams, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and technical details effectively.
- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback to refine and enhance work.
- Experience working in a team environment, with the ability to collaborate closely with designers, writers, producers, and other creatives.
- Adaptability to work in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions to challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements or constraints.
- Willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in motion graphics and video editing.
- Flexibility to take on different types of projects and adjust style or approach as needed.
Availability and Flexibility:
- Availability to work on a freelance, part-time, or full-time basis as needed.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and accommodate any additional client requests within reason.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if necessary to meet project deadlines, including occasional weekends or evenings.
Additional Considerations:
- A degree or diploma in Motion Graphics, Film Production, Multimedia Arts, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Additional skills in other relevant software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Corel Draw) are a plus.
- Ability to work within brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all motion graphics and video editing work.
