Travel Consultant
Job summary
The Travel Consultant is responsible for planning, coordinating, and booking travel arrangements for clients, including flights, accommodation, travel insurance, and related services. The role involves providing expert travel advice, ensuring compliance with airline and immigration regulations, and delivering excellent customer service.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Travel Planning and Booking: Advise clients on travel routes, airlines, and fares; book domestic and international flights using GDS; arrange hotel reservations, airport transfers, and travel packages; process travel insurance; and provide itineraries.
- Customer Service: Respond to inquiries; provide travel guidance; resolve cancellations or delays; maintain customer satisfaction.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with airline and immigration rules; verify passports and visas; maintain accurate records.
- Sales and Revenue: Promote travel services; upsell packages; meet revenue targets; build partnerships with airlines and hotels.
- Reporting: Prepare booking reports; track ticket sales; stay updated on travel regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, business administration or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in travel consulting or ticketing.
- IATA certification is an advantage.
- GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre),
- Communication skills,

- Microsoft Office proficiency.

Remuneration: NGN 150,000 – 250,000
