Job summary

We are seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor. The HSE Supervisor supports the head of HSE in ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and monitor compliance with PPE and HSE requirements.
  • Assist with HSE inductions, safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes.
  • ⁠Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and communicate workplace hazards and safety precautions.
  • ⁠Monitor operational activities, identify unsafe acts or conditions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, and maintenance of the incident register.
  • Inspect and maintain first aid facilities and support emergency preparedness activities.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Compile and submit safety data, inspection findings, and incident reports to the Head of HSE.
  • ⁠Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable HSE regulations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of HND in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional HSE certifications (HSE Levels 1–3, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, construction, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Sound knowledge of Nigerian HSE regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles.
  • Excellent observation, reporting, and investigative skills.
  • Good communication and training delivery abilities.
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • ⁠Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high ethical standards.
