Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Set up the cement pump correctly at job sites
- Check the machine and safety parts before starting work
- Work with truck drivers to keep cement flowing into the pump
- Watch the pump during use to prevent blockages or faults
- Clean the pipes and pump after each job
- Follow all safety rules and make sure protective gear is used
- Report any machine problems or safety issues immediately
- Keep records of each job done
- Guide junior workers on safe pump operation
Requirements
- High School (S.S.C.E)
- Valid licence to operate cement pump machines
- At least 2 years’ experience using cement or concrete pumps
- Nigerian driver’s licence (for truck-mounted pumps)
- Certification in pump operation is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to work on busy construction sites
- Good knowledge of safety rules and machine handling
