Software QA Engineer

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for all new features.
• Perform end-to-end manual testing to ensure features meet business requirements and design specifications.
• Proactively identify and test "unhappy path" scenarios, boundary conditions, and unusual user workflows to ensure system resilience.
• Validate backend data states using MongoDB.
• Write and execute queries to ensure data is correctly stored, updated, and retrieved across the platform.
• Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure that new code deployments do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Verify the communication between frontend and backend services using tools like Postman to test API endpoints.
• Conduct basic performance testing to ensure the application remains stable and responsive under varying traffic levels.
• Document and prioritize defects with clear "steps to reproduce," environment details, and logs. Collaborate with the development team to verify fixes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
• 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance for web-based SaaS applications.
• Experience writing queries in MongoDB Query Language
• Ability to navigate document-based (NoSQL) data structures.
• Familiarity with MongoDB Compass or the Mongo Shell.
• Proficiency using Browser Developer Tools (Console, Network tab) to diagnose frontend errors.
• Knowledge of or interest in JavaScript-based automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience with Postman (API testing) and Jira/GitHub (issue tracking).
• Familiarity with load testing tools such as JMeter or k6 is a plus
