System Administrator
Job summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented mid-level System Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, performance, and security of our systems while providing day-to-day technical support for servers, networks, and user access. This role focuses on system maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth IT operations across both on-premise and cloud environments.

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and/or Windows servers
- Manage system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot server, application, and network-related issues
- Ensure systems are running efficiently and reliably
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions
- Enforce proper access control based on company policies
- Support authentication and password management processes
- Ensure secure onboarding and offboarding of users
- Monitor system performance, availability, and resource usage
- Use monitoring tools to identify and resolve system issues
- Respond to alerts and support basic incident troubleshooting
- Maintain system logs for operational visibility
- Manage regular system backups
- Test and verify backup integrity
- Support data restoration when required
- Ensure systems are prepared for basic disaster recovery scenarios
- Support basic networking tasks (DNS, DHCP, VPN, IP configuration)
- Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues
- Work with network tools and configurations as needed
- Document system configurations and operational procedures
- Maintain updated records of infrastructure changes
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams when required
- Follow IT policies and best practices
- 3–5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server environments
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
- Experience with system monitoring and basic administration tools
- Familiarity with user management and access control systems
- Experience with backup and recovery processes
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, or Python is a plus)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to virtualization tools (VMware, VirtualBox)
- Basic understanding of security best practices
- Experience with Git or version control systems
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)

Remuneration: NGN 400,000-600,000 Monthly Net.
