A Senior Event Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and evaluation of events, ensuring they align with strategic goals and deliver impactful experiences.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of various events from conception to completion.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Oversee venue selection, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their vision and objectives.
  • Provide exceptional client service, manage expectations, and deliver results that exceed client satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide insights for future improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging creativity and innovative solutions.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Monitor expenses and track financial performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Assist in the development of event branding and promotional materials.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all logistical details are executed as planned
  • Manage on-site staff and volunteers, providing direction and support during events.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address challenges that may arise before or during events.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in event planning and management, with a strong portfolio of successful events.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in event management software and tools 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

Location: Lekki 

Remuneration: NGN 800,000
