Job Description/Requirements
1421 is an award-winning production company that believes in creating ‘Content with a Conscience’ Our first film Awani told a story about Nigeria’s history and how it has positively and negatively impacted women. We tell high-quality, engaging, and entertaining films that also play a role in solving and understanding societal and global issues while remaining a profitable organization.
Responsibilities:
- Research Streaming Arrival: Investigate and document when and how streaming platforms became a significant part of the music industry, particularly for female artists.
- Weekly and Annual Charts: Gather data on women artists' performance on weekly and annual music charts, highlighting their chart-topping achievements.
- Headlines: Compile news headlines and articles related to prominent female musicians, including major milestones and challenges they faced.
- Early Performances and Interviews: Research and collect early performance footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content that showcases female artists' rise to fame.
- Net Worth/Earnings: Research and provide insights into the net worth and earnings of females in the music industry, showcasing their financial successes.
- Endorsements: Explore and document endorsement deals and partnerships that these female artists have entered into throughout their careers.
- Tours: Gather information on their concert tours, including tour dates, venues, attendance, and significance in their careers.
- Awards: Compile data on the awards and accolades received by Female musicians, showcasing their achievements and recognition
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Musicology, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in documentary research, with a strong portfolio showcasing your research skills.
- Proficient in using research tools and databases to gather accurate information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for music and a deep interest in the role of women in the music industry.
Remuneration: NGN 400,000-500,000 monthly.
