Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design, organize, and present captivating english lessons, lesson plans, extra lessons, and extra curricular activities that adhere to the school's curriculum and standards.
- Employ various teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning styles and abilities, including online learning.
- Create captivating lesson plans that integrate effective instructional strategies, incorporating both formative and summative assessments, while catering to the unique needs of our diverse learners.
- Monitor student progress with regular assessments and provide timely feedback to students and parents on performance, provide mid and end term reports for students.
- Keep precise documentation of student attendance, performance, and additional necessary records, including report cards.
- Assisting the Sectional Heads with identifying educational tools and resources for efficient teaching and learning, and recommending textbooks.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for mathematics via interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
- Work together with fellow educators and staff to create interdisciplinary lessons and enhance the school's academic offerings.
- Prepare students effectively for the national exams - WAEC and NECO exams.
- Champion and assist in identifying and preparing students for external competitions locally and internationally.
- Attend and participate in meetings with staff, parents and other internal and external parties, including staff, sectional and other meetings.
- Keep up to date with changing technology and certifications for teaching, learning and management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of BA + PGDE; BA (Ed).
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a comparable reputable school for primary and secondary sections.
- Mature, professional and diligent.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Must be computer literate and have the ability to use Excel. Use of Google Teams is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Nigerian required curriculum.
- Ability to organise workload, prioritise efficiently, adapt to change, and deliver under pressure.
