Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in their specific subject area, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the academic and character development of students.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Instructional Delivery & Planning:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Nigerian National Curriculum and/or British/International Curricula.
- Create comprehensive lesson plans and teaching aids to facilitate learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with varying learning styles.
Student Assessment & Reporting:
- Set, grade, and record homework, classwork, and examination papers promptly.
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations (WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE).
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment in accordance with the school’s code of conduct.
- Manage student behaviour effectively to minimise disruptions and maximise learning time.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Professional Development & Collaboration:
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and improve teaching strategies.
- Engage with parents/guardians regarding student progress during Open Days and scheduled meetings.
Extracurricular Activities:
- Supervise and participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and school events.
- Perform pastoral duties as a Form Tutor or Mentor if assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc/B.A) in a relevant subject with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- Certification: Registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is highly preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience in a standard secondary school environment. Experience with the British Curriculum is an added advantage.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, Interactive Whiteboards).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong subject matter expertise.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Patience, emotional intelligence, and a passion for youth development.
- Time management and organisational skills.
