Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Class Teacher to join our early years team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, play-based curriculum that supports the learning and development of children aged 4–5. The role requires strong classroom management, creativity, and the ability to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment where young learners can thrive.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Use creative and imaginative methods to encourage learning through play.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage behavior in line with school policies.
  • Participate in school meetings, training, and events as required.


Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1–2 years teaching experience in Early Years or Reception class (preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Basic ICT proficiency and ability to use educational technology.
