The Behavioural Therapist will deliver high-quality, evidence-based behavioural interventions to support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or developmental challenges.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Behaviour Assessments & Planning
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) to identify triggers, patterns, and underlying needs.
- Develop individualised Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to each pupil’s strengths, needs, and learning style.
- Conduct ongoing reviews and modify plans in response to progress.
- Direct Therapeutic Work
- Deliver 1:1 or small group behavioural therapy sessions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, communication, and coping strategies.
- Support pupils with transitions, anxiety management, sensory regulation, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain open and supportive communication with parents to ensure consistency between home & class
Requirements:
- Qualification in Behavioural Therapy, Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Special Education, or related field.
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs or SEN in a school or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), trauma-informed practice, and therapeutic de-escalation.
- Proven ability to develop Behaviour Intervention Plans and deliver direct behavioural support.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm
